Odíhg Wecíhwsa (/we/ /ˈcɪ̞wsa/ [goal (objective); target] [middle]) is a subtropical Town located in the Wizkèysè Provence of the Kingdom of Hobben.

The name Odíhg Wecíhwsa is derived from the Tauric language, as Odíhg Wecíhwsa was founded by Shëîj Wyn, who was culturaly Tauric.

Climate

Odíhg Wecíhwsa has a yearly average temperature of 26°C (78°F), with its average temperature during the summer being a warm 30°C (86°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a pleasant 23°C (73°F). Odíhg Wecíhwsa receives an average of 265 cm/y (104 in/y) of precipitation, most of which comes in the form of rain during the summer. Odíhg Wecíhwsa covers an area of nearly 5 km2 (2 mi2), and an average elevation of 4974 m (16318 ft) above sea level.

Overview

Odíhg Wecíhwsa was founded durring the early 12th century in summer of the year 1125, by Shëîj Wyn. The establishment of Odíhg Wecíhwsa was somewhat plagued by a lack of willing colonists, leading to Shëîj Wyn electing to pay people to resettle in Odíhg Wecíhwsa.

Odíhg Wecíhwsa was built using the conventions of Tauric durring the early 12th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Odíhg Wecíhwsa is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature waddle and daub construction with good timber frames and a stone foundation protected by thatched or shingled rooves. Most buildings with second floors are built in such a way as to overhang into the streets on the upper floors for more space, as building size seems to be the primary indicator of wealth within the community. Most buildings are not decorated with any integral features, but instead use ivy, flowers, and other natural elements in planters of on trellices to breathe life into the structure they grow upon.

Odíhg Wecíhwsa is buildings are arranged arrounded highly ordered system of narrow baked earthen streets which form hexical paterns, allowing the incides of the octagons to be common grounds for the buildings on the edges, be it for parkland, yardspace, plazas, or markets. The town rests behind a thick wall made from clay bricks. The wall has all of the proper fortifications and is well made. Unfortuantly the nature of clay brick leaves it quite vulnerable to siege equipment, though the thickness of the wall lends it simmilar resistnace to a thinner hardrock wall. The town's millitarily questionable fortifications are visibly old, but also obviously maintained semi-regularly. Its likly the local malishia or garrison are tasked with ocasional mantance of the towns defences.

Odíhg Wecíhwsa seems to be abandoned at first. There are people present, working their trades and going about their business like any community, it’s just they are absurdly quiet. Just as you start to think there might be trouble, you see most of them are reading. The entire town feels like a library, with those not reading remaining quite to not disturb those who have their nose in a book. The longer you remain in Odíhg Wecíhwsa the more you start to wonder if you’ve entered some strange open-concept University rather than a town, but you can’t quite say such with certainty.

Civic Infrastructure

Odíhg Wecíhwsa possesses a city-wide Aethary Link which provides Aethary access anywhere within its metropolitan. This allows citizens who can afford the relevant devices access in their places of work, and rarely homes.

Odíhg Wecíhwsa's town hall was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used has a sleek, linear appearance with stylized, often geometric ornamentation. The primary facade of its buildings often featured a series of set backs that create a stepped outline. It was best known for its use of smooth finish building materials such as stucco, concrete block, glazed brick or mosaic tile. In time immemorial, reportedly some time during the late 2nd century several years of heavy rains culminated in a peculiar disaster. A great hole opened up beneath Odíhg Wecíhwsa, swallowing large sections of the community. Odíhg Wecíhwsa lost 222 people, 108 livestock, and 54 buildings in the disaster. This disaster is often refereed to as The Terror Swallowing.
